About irierecycling UAB

We're focused on creating practical guides for evening walks through Vilnius's most beautiful historic squares. Our mission is simple — help retirees and visitors discover the magic of Cathedral Square and Gediminas Avenue at sunset.

Our Foundation

How It Started

Irierecycling UAB was founded in 2023 because we noticed something important — there's a real gap between what retirees want and what's actually available. Most travel guides focus on rushed tours and major attractions. But that's not what people are looking for when they've got time and want to experience a place properly.

We started by walking Cathedral Square ourselves. Lots of times. At different hours. We talked to locals, researched the history, tracked the best rest spots, and paid attention to the practical details nobody mentions — like which paths have uneven surfaces, where you can sit comfortably, and what the light looks like at various times of year.

That's when we realized we could build something genuinely useful. Not another generic walking tour guide. Instead, we'd create detailed, honest guides for people who actually want to understand a place rather than just check boxes.

Our Approach

What We've Built

Detailed Route Guides

We've mapped Cathedral Square and Gediminas Avenue specifically for evening walks. You'll get exact distances, surface types, rest points, and where the light is best — not just vague directions.

Historical Context

The bell tower's been standing since the 1300s. We don't just tell you that — we explain what it meant, how it's changed, and why it matters. Context makes places come alive.

Seasonal Updates

Vilnius changes with the seasons. Summer light is different from winter. We update our guides so you know what to expect and when the best times actually are.

Practical Safety Tips

We cover real concerns — lighting, accessibility, traffic patterns, and emergency contact info. Because knowing you're safe lets you actually enjoy the walk.

What Guides Us

Our Core Principles

We don't do generic. Every detail we include has been tested, verified, and refined through actual walks and conversations with real people who use these routes.

Honesty First

We'll tell you what's beautiful and what's challenging. If a path has cobblestones that might be tough on your knees, you'll know before you start.

Practical Insight

Information matters only if you can actually use it. We focus on details that make a real difference — timing, accessibility, comfort, and logistics.

Community Driven

We listen to feedback. When someone tells us about a better route or an overlooked detail, we verify it and update our guides. It's collaborative.

Looking Forward

Where We're Heading

We've started with Cathedral Square and Gediminas Avenue because we wanted to do a few things exceptionally well rather than cover everything superficially. That focus matters. We're building a reputation for honest, detailed, useful guides that people actually return to.

Our goal is to expand thoughtfully — covering more of Vilnius's historic routes while maintaining the same commitment to practical detail and accuracy. We're not trying to be the biggest. We're trying to be the most useful.
